Lake Tahoe is one of the closest in northern California for snow on higher elevations. Most people who want to ski or snowboard usually go to Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe has many resorts such as, Heavenly , Sugar Bowl , Kirkwood , Squaw Valley , Boreal , and Northstar . Lake Tahoe is convenient for people located here. Most of the resorts at Lake Tahoe vary in terms of price and the ski area. If you want the best skiing or snowboarding experience you might want to go to Squaw Valley, Heavenly, or Sugar Bowl. If you want to save money then you might want to go to Boreal, or Northstar.

There are also other activities at Lake Tahoe. If you are the gambling type, you can go towards Nevada and visit the casinos. If you like the outdoors, there are various camping spots that you can go or you can go fishing. Top-notch golf courses can be found in Lake Tahoe. Many PGA tournaments were hosted in Lake Tahoe. The golf courses combined with the great scenery makes it a great environment to golf over there. Lake Tahoe also has great scenery. Lake Tahoe is a very attractive option for those of us who live near Northern California because of it’s variety, cost, and convenience.
